Looking after your Coorie candles, soy wax melts and reed or car diffusers properly means you’ll enjoy longer burn times, richer scents and cosier moments at home. Here’s a handy guide to help you get the very best from your home fragrance goodies 🤍


🕯 Candle Care

  • Let your candle burn all the way across the top on the first use - this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn

  • Trim your wick to about 5mm before each burn ✂️

  • Keep candles away from draughts, children, and curious pets.

  • Don’t burn for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Tip: Always burning candles on a stable, heatproof surface


🌸 Wax Melt Care

  • Use only in a suitable wax melt burner

  • Add ½ – 1 cube of wax per burner - a little goes a long way with our chunky melts

  • Replace the wax once the fragrance has faded - it won’t evaporate like water in an oil burner, only the scent burns off

  • Never add water or other substances to your burner

  • Always keep melts and burners away from children and pets


🌿 Reed Diffuser Care

  • Place your diffuser away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent the fragrance oil from evaporating too quickly

  • Flip your reeds roughly once a month to refresh the scent

  • Keep it in a well-ventilated area so the fragrance circulates around your home beautifully

  • Use a coaster under your diffuser to protect furniture — fragrance oils can stain surfaces if spilled

  • Wash hands after handling the reeds


🚗 Car Diffuser Care

  • To get started: unscrew the lid, remove the little plastic stopper, screw the lid back on, then gently tilt to let the wooden lid soak up the fragrance

  • Hang from your rear-view mirror or sit upright in a cup holder

  • Ensure the lid is on tight at all times

  • Re-tilt once a week (or whenever you need a scent boost) to refresh the fragrance

  • Avoid spills - if fragrance oil gets on surfaces or fabric, wipe away immediately


🔥 Wax Burner Care

  • Always use with unscented tealights that burn up to 4 hours

  • Place your burner on a heatproof, stable surface

  • Allow the dish to cool completely before changing melts

  • Check your burner regularly for cracks or damage and replace if needed
