How to Store Wax Melts Like a Pro

Wax melts are a simple way to fill your home with cosy, inviting scents - but storing them correctly makes all the difference if you want them to smell amazing every time. Here’s how to keep your wax melts in tip-top condition.

Keep Them Cool, Dry, and Dark

The best place for your wax melts is somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. Think a cupboard, drawer, or shelf away from radiators and other heat sources. This helps prevent premature melting and keeps the fragrance strong.

Use Airtight Containers

To preserve scent and prevent dust or moisture from affecting your wax melts, pop them in airtight containers, ziplock bags, or even mason jars. A sealed container also makes it easier to organise different scents.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures

While it might be tempting to pop wax melts in the fridge or freezer “just in case,” it’s really not necessary. Extreme cold can affect the texture and fragrance, and condensation might damage the wax. Likewise, don’t store them anywhere that gets too hot or humid - bathrooms, garages, or cars are best avoided.

Rotate and Enjoy

Wax melts stay fresh for a long time - usually up to 2 years if stored properly - but it’s always a good idea to rotate your stock and use older melts first. This way, every time you melt a cube, the fragrance is at its best.

With these simple tips, your wax melts will stay fragrant, fresh, and ready to fill your home with cosy vibes whenever you like. Happy melting!
